10 Most Valuable Sports Cards

Everyone knows that gold is a good investment, as are properties. However, for these, you have to put down a lot of money to be able to get a lot more when you sell them down the line. However, I can bet that most of you out there don’t know of another very valuable commodity that can actually prove to be a pretty great investment years down the line — sports trading cards. Yup, the little cardboard cards you can buy for less than a dollar could potentially grow to a valuation of several hundreds of thousands of dollars and turn out to be the most valuable sports cards, should the right conditions be met.

Of course, their value depends on a lot of factors, such as how old the card is (the older the better), what condition it is in, rarity, who the card represents, what are the player’s current stats, etc. For example, if a player were to be inducted into the hall of fame you can bet that its value would rise astronomically, and can even turn into one of the most expensive sports cards.

10 Most Valuable Sports Cards

So here’s a list of ten of the most valuable sports cards ever sold that are expensive too.

#10.  Bronko Nagurski, Football, 1935 National Chicle – $240,000

most valuable sports cards - bronko

This is a valuable football card, perhaps one of the few valuable football cards out there. Bronko Nagurski was a player for the NFL for a period of 9 years. The Chicago Bears won two titles in the consecutive years of 1932 and 1933, and he was a major part of their success.

However, he soon quit his short but successful career in football in order to take up wrestling. He was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1963.
