“Tallest Soccer Players” sounds a bit unusual? While it is commonly understood that Basketball players are naturally tall because the height can be a great advantage in the sport, the game of Soccer isn’t met with the same requisites and often some of the best players in the history of the game, and even the leading contemporary players, are often shorter than six foot. You may take the examples of Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, Pele, Neymar or Eden Hazard. In fact, the average height of a soccer player is just 5 foot 9 inches. This actually acts as an advantage for the attacking players because the lower height gives them a lower centre of gravity, thus providing better control and agility.

The requisites for the goalkeepers and those on the defense is different, with famous goalkeepers generally being quite tall. However, this list has been compiled from some of the tallest Soccer players ever, going well beyond 6 feet, and those who have played Professional football in the premier Leagues and International Soccer.
