Aleppo International Stadium, which is used mostly for football matches, is the largest stadium in Syria. The stadium comprises five floors of infrastructure and became the home ground of Al-Ittihad Aleppo football club who moved from the smaller naighbour, Al-Hamadaniah Stadium in 2007.

Construction of the magnificent structure started in 1991 and was opened on 16 July 1994 and cost RM460 million ($125 million).
